SAP Introduces SAP Datasphere to Simplify Customers’ Data Landscape – Partners with Collibra, Confluent, Databricks and DataRobot

SAP SE announced key data innovations and partnerships to provide customers with access to critical data, enabling faster insights and better business decision-making. SAP announced the SAP® Datasphere solution, the next generation of its data management portfolio, enabling customers to easily access business-ready data across the data landscape. SAP has also introduced strategic partnerships with industry-leading data and AI companies – Collibra NV, Confluent Inc., Databricks Inc. and DataRobot Inc. – to enrich the SAP Datasphere and enable organizations to create a unified data architecture. Securely combine SAP software data and non-SAP data.

Until today, accessing and using data located in different systems and locations – between cloud providers, data providers, and on-premises systems – has been a complex challenge. Customers must obtain data from the original sources and export it to a central location, removing critical business context in the process, and restoring it only through specialized IT projects. ongoing use and manual effort. With today’s announcements, SAP Datasphere is helping to eliminate this hidden tax on data, enabling customers to build business data fabric architectures to rapidly deliver meaningful data with context and business logic intact.

“With SAP customers generating 87% of total global commerce, SAP data is among a company’s most valuable business assets and is contained in the most important functions of an organization, from manufacturing to supply chains, finance, human resources and more,”
“We want to help our customers take the next step to easily and confidently integrate SAP data with non-SAP data from third-party applications and platforms, unlocking entirely new insights and knowledge to bring digital transformation to another level.”
Juergen Mueller, Chief Technology Officer and member of the Executive Board of SAP SE.

SAP data warehouse

Now available, SAP datasphere is the next generation of SAP Data Warehouse Cloud solutions. It enables data professionals to provide scalable access to critical business data. With a unified experience of data integration, data cataloging, semantic modeling, data warehousing, data binding, and data virtualization, SAP Datasphere empowers data professionals to help bring critical data for businesses – with business context and logic preserved – into their organization’s data context. SAP Datasphere is based on the SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP), which includes powerful enterprise security features, such as database security, encryption, and governance. Existing SAP Data Warehouse Cloud customers need to take no additional steps or migrations, who will benefit from the new SAP Datasphere functionality in their production environments. New functionality includes Data Cataloging that automatically detects, manages and adjusts data; simplified data replication to provide continuous real-time data and updates; and improve data modeling to maintain the rich business context of data in SAP applications. Additional application integration capabilities connecting data and metadata from SAP cloud solutions to SAP Datasphere are planned.
