LastPass to Provide Simple, Fast and Secure Logins Across the Metaverse

Secure Logins Across the Metaverse

The first password manager with a 2D Progressive Web App (PWA) in the Meta Quest Store, LastPass made the announcement during this year’s Meta Connect. The native integration into the Meta Quest Browser is scheduled for early 2023. This is a significant accomplishment for LastPass as it establishes itself as a critical security solution for VR users. LastPass will also become increasingly important as Meta broadens its VR ecosystem to encompass commercial, educational, entertainment, and productivity settings.

By offering a quick and secure account login process with quick access to credentials, credit cards, addresses, and more without taking off the VR headset, the LastPass app resolves the present problem of accessing passwords on Meta Quest. This is the quickest and most efficient way for customers to access apps and safely browse in VR, regardless of whether they are logging in or making a purchase. Downloading LastPass through the Meta Quest Store is available to all LastPass users, including those using the free version. Customers of Quest who don’t already have a LastPass account can sign up for one here.

“We’re honored to join Meta to solve a real-life pain point of so many VR users”, “As we kick off this initial phase, we look forward to making a positive impact through the custom app integration to deliver the best possible experience. Universal access to your logins, personal information, and data should be the expectation, no matter which device you’re using – and LastPass provides this ubiquity – whether you’re at home, at work, or in the metaverse.”                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       Karim Toubba, CEO of LastPass.

When LastPass becomes the first cross-device password manager integrated natively in the Meta Quest Browser in early 2019, it will further streamline the process by providing automated save and fill capability.
