Fundamental concepts of AI, machine learning, and deep learning

To understand how they connect to the discipline of data science, we will first discuss the differences between three fundamental concepts: artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), and deep learning (DL). Artificial intelligence, machine learning, and deep learning are all phrases that are often muddled. Artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, and deep learning can all be compared to a matryoshka doll, a Russian nesting doll. Machine learning is a subset of AI, while deep learning is a subset of machine learning.
