Mycom’s Service Assurance solution for Telenor Sweden’s 5G network is renewed for a multi-year contract

Mycom, a globally recognized independent provider of Network Assurance, Service Experience Assurance, and AI-driven Analytics for some of the world’s largest communications service providers (CSPs), today announced a significant multi-year agreement with Telenor Sweden, the country’s third-largest mobile network operator. Under this renewed partnership, Telenor Sweden will expand and upgrade Mycom’s advanced 5G performance management solution, PrOptima, which is a key component of the Experience Assurance & Analytics (EAA) Service Assurance suite. The deployment of this upgraded solution will play a crucial role in supporting the rollout and ongoing management of Telenor Sweden’s nationwide 5G network.

Telenor Sweden’s network already delivers extensive coverage across the country, reaching 99.9% of the population. It serves more than 3 million mobile customers, in addition to around 700,000 broadband and fiber subscribers, and nearly half a million TV customers. With the transition to 5G, maintaining reliable service performance, seamless customer experience, and operational efficiency has become increasingly important. Mycom’s PrOptima solution is viewed by Telenor as a core strategic asset, helping the operator manage this new era of connectivity while ensuring the smooth introduction of innovative digital and enterprise services.

Mycom’s Service Assurance solutions have been part of Telenor Sweden’s operations since 2014, monitoring both its Radio Access Network (RAN) and core networks. Recently, the platform was modernized and moved to a subscription-based model, strengthening its adaptability and long-term usability. The latest agreement further emphasizes the trust and long-standing collaboration between the two companies, especially as Telenor embarks on a major infrastructure and equipment transformation to fully leverage the opportunities of 5G technology.
