Automation Anywhere and AWS Redefine the Future of Human-AI Agent Collaboration

At the AWS Summit in New York, Automation Anywhere, a recognized leader in agent-based process automation, alongside Amazon Web Services (AWS), announced a significant upgrade to its Automation Co-Pilot platform through a new integration with Amazon Q Business. Automation Anywhere’s Process Reasoning Engine (PRE) and Amazon Q’s sophisticated enterprise generative AI capabilities are combined in this work to produce a more potent and user-friendly solution for business customers. This integration enhances the existing natural language interface of Automation Anywhere, enabling business intentions to be swiftly translated into actionable outcomes. Notably, this latest enhancement is immediately available for developers, either as a standalone tool or embedded within the primary applications already in use by business professionals.

The collaboration allows developers to build highly responsive cross-application workflows, leveraging real-time business data through Amazon Q Business’s Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) technology and powered by the PRE engine at the core of Automation Anywhere’s automation platform. This combination delivers workflows capable of providing up to ten times more value than typical chatbot solutions. Business users can now articulate their needs in plain language, and AI-driven agents handle intricate, multi-step processes within the familiar environments of their daily business applications. Human oversight remains integral to the process, as users can review and approve actions within a unified interface, maintaining transparency and control.

According to Adi Kuruganti, Chief Product Officer at Automation Anywhere, this innovation marks the beginning of a new chapter in enterprise AI, one where businesses move beyond merely utilizing automation to actively collaborating with it. Kuruganti emphasized that integrating natural language interaction with real-time data and intelligent reasoning is transforming traditional workflows and advancing the concept of the Autonomous Enterprise, empowering employees with digital agents that respond to their specific needs and operate with purposeful action.

Vijay Thomas, President and CEO of Tangentia, highlighted that this strategic collaboration introduces a transformative approach to AI-driven automation. By integrating Automation Co-Pilot with Amazon Q Business and leveraging the Process Reasoning Engine, businesses gain the ability to express their objectives naturally and have AI agents handle execution. Thomas noted that this development represents a game-changing opportunity for organizations across sectors, providing faster, more precise, and personalized results, ultimately redefining operational efficiency and user experience.
